Netscape 3.0 to be installed
Netscape 3.0 will be installed on Tuesday 8/27. The current version 2.02
will be renamed netscape.old. All versions prior to Netscape 2.02 will be
removed from the exp tree. Netscape 3.0 will be installed for OSF/1 3.X,
SunOS 4.1.3, Solaris 2.5 (2.4), AIX 3.2.5 and Irix 5.2. Netscape 3.0 will
be installed as /exp/rcf/share/X11R5/bin/netscape. Current users of
Netscape 1.X and 2.X should create a link to the new java classes file,
java_30, in their $HOME/.netscape directory as follows:
cd $HOME/.netscape
ln -s /exp/rcf/share/X11R5/netscape-3.0/java_30
All users are strongly advised to read and understand the README file
(/exp/rcf/share/X11R5/netscape-3.0/README) and the Netscape 3.0 release
notes (http://home.netscape.com/eng/mozilla/3.0/relnotes/unix-3.0.html)
before using Netscape 3.0.
