Emacs 19.34

GNU Emacs 19.34 will be installed as /exp/rcf/share/bin/emacs.new on AIX, HP-UX, IRIX, OSF/1, Solaris, SunOS, and mips Ultrix. The old emacs.new will be available as emacs-19.30

The differences and new features are described in the file /exp/rcf/share/share/emacs/19.34/etc/NEWS.

The lisp files will be found in /exp/rcf/share/share/emacs/19.34/lisp. The site-lisp files are in /exp/rcf/share/share/emacs/site-lisp

Please try it out, and send mail to system@cs.umass.edu with any problems you encounter using it.

If you are converting from a version of emacs prior to emacs-19.30, you will need to change your load-path in your .emacs file. Due to conflicts with the previous site-lisp files in /exp/rcf/common/lib/emacs/site-lisp/ , this path should not be added to the load-path. The default load-path in emacs.new already has the new site-lisp directory in it.
